Turn your phone into a proper document scanner.
Scan anything to a crisp PDF, recognise text, sign and organise — and back it up to your own Google Drive. Free, watermark-free, and private by design.
What it does
Everything you need to digitise paper
Powered by Google’s on-device ML Kit, so scanning and text recognition run privately on your phone.
Scan to PDF or JPEG
Auto edge-detection, crop and enhance. Single or multi-page, exported as one PDF or separate images.
OCR & searchable PDF
Recognise text on any scan, copy it, export to .txt/.docx, and create PDFs you can search in any viewer.
Library & shelves
Thumbnails, folders and search — including search inside your scans by their recognised text.
PDF tools
Merge, split, compress, password-protect, reorder/rotate, sign, and stamp page numbers.
Capture modes
ID card (front & back on one page), receipt, passport, and book/whiteboard presets.
Your own Google Drive
Manual upload is free. Pro adds automatic, scheduled backup & restore — to your Drive, not our servers.
QR & barcodes
Pull links and codes straight out of a scanned page and open or copy them.
Batch actions
Select many documents at once to move, upload, or delete.
No watermark, ever
No page limits, no forced branding, and no account required to start.
Pricing
Free to scan. Pro to power up.
The full scanning and cloud experience is free (ad-supported). Go Pro to remove ads and unlock OCR, PDF tools and automation.

Private by design
Sheaf has no backend of its own. Your scans stay on your device; cloud is optional and uses Google Drive’s drive.file scope, so Sheaf can only see files it created. Text recognition runs on-device.
